Lacrosse Team Tackles Cornell At 2p.m. Today

The Harvard lacrosse team returns at 2 p.m. today after having 27 goals scored upon it in the last two games.

Harvard, now 0-2 in Ivy League play just isn't that bad, but all the other Ivy teams are just that good.

Cornell, co-cellar-dwellers last year with Harvard, is no exception. They have even beaten Yale, the team that was picked to win the league championship.

Whether the Cornell team is good enough to threaten seriously front-running Penn and Princeton is questionable, but it's certainly strong enough to overcome a hapless Harvard club.

One of Harvard's many problems has been the failure to score. The inability of the team's attack to control the ball has given a formally good Crimson defense a case of shellshock.

Once it sees the familiar home soil however, the defense should return to its solid self. A healthy Rick Loomis will certainly bolster that probability.

If the defense can hold Cornell's score under six, Harvard will have a chance.
