Penn's squash team, slapped around by both Harvard and Navy earlier this season, may have handed Harvard the national intercollegiate team championship Tuesday by upsetting Princeton, 6-3.

If there is a tie for first place in the standings at the end of the season, comparative scores against all mutual opponents will determine the champion.

Right now, Harvard has an 8-1 mark, while Princeton stands at 7-1. Both teams must play Yale, which has lost only to Penn. Penn has completed its season with a 7-2 record.

With one match to go, Harvard now has a total of 66 points against its opponents. With two matches to go, Princeton has 53 points. Therefore, if Harvard can defeat Yale by the minimum 5-4 margin, Princeton must defeat both helpless Cornell and powerful Yale by 9-0 scores in order to equal Harvard's total point output. If Harvard defeats Yale by a 6-3 margin or worse, it's all over for Princeton.
