Mrs. Marie-Louise Duran-Reynals, specialist in the virus theory of cancer, will be East House's scientist-in-residence this Spring. She will arrive on February 15.
While at Radcliffe, Mrs. Duran-Reynals will give a series of three lectures. The first two, entitled "The Historical Accident in Cancer Research" and "The Experimental Method in Research on the Virus Theory of Cancer," will be general talks on Mrs. Duran-Reynals' field.
The last lecture, a "Detailed Discussion on Current Cancer Research," will be directed primarily at Faculty and science majors. All three lectures, to be given on February 16 and 23 and on March 2, respectively, will be open to the public, and will be held in the Cabot Hall Living Room.
Mrs. Duran-Reynals is the second guest resident of the college, succeeding P. L. Travers, author of Mary Poppins. She will occupy a suite in Whitman Hall.
