Harvard has received a $42,188 grant for its student Work Study Program, the Department of Health, Education and Welfare announced Saturday.
A similar grant was given the University in January and earmarked for use this Spring. Under the terms of the grants, the money is dispensed by the College for work which helps to "discover latent talents and learn or improve job skills."
Harvards grant was part of $27 million allocated in five New England states. The money will help more than 100,000 students from low-income families attend college this Fall.
