A disputed Princeton goal and a Harvard tally that was disqualified provided the winning margin as the Tiger lacrosse team topped the Crimson 7 to 5 at Princeton on Saturday.
Princeton scored the first goal of the game at 7:22 of the first period. They added another two minutes later when the Crimson had three men in the penalty box. Two more Princeton tallies plus two fine one-man efforts by Crimson midfielder Larry Palmer made the score 4.2 at the half.
The disputed goal came when the Tigers were ahead 5-4 in the fourth period. Crimson goalie Ormond Hammond, who made some spectacular saves, appeared to be in the crease with the ball in his stick when a Tiger player knocked it out into the goal.
