Fired Professor Alpert Performs 'Village' Club

Richard Alpert, a former Faculty member dismissed from the University in , will make his entertainment debut night at the Village Vanguard in New York City.

A professor of Clinical Psychology Education, Alpert was fired for break a formal agreement with the University not to involve undergraduates in experiments. Tonight he will open the Vanguard as a monologist his work in psychedelic experiences.

According to Alpert, a psychedelic experience involves "mind altering," or outside the usual path of one's oughts. He described his act of coming "variety, humor, and interesting stories" to suggest to people that is more inside their minds than think."

He said his act is the same kind of commentary which comedians Sahi and Lenny Bruce have successfully used. He noted that his former of college professor is very similar his position as an entertainer for are platforms of communication in which humor is a good vehicle for getting areas across.
