Crimson Golfers Win 2 Matches

Finally showing the power that lay hidden during its first match against Navy week, the Crimson golf team rolled both Amherst and Tufts in a match yesterday, winning 6 to 1 and to 2 1/2.

Tim Buchanan, playing ninth man for the Crimson, began the day suspiciously through by reaching the par-five first hole two and eagling it with a 25-foot putt. Buchanan shot even par on the front and came in carding a professional . The match was played at the par-71 Country Club in Lynnfield.

Harvard played without the services of number one man Wedge Campen, who was to opt out of the match because illness. The rest of the line-up moved one notch, with sophomore Brian slipping into the first shot. Both and second man Mike Millis respectable 77's.

Every man on the Crimson managed beat at least one opponent, with Millis, Buchanan and junior Chuck Hawkins winning both matches.
