Harvard's solid tennis team ran all over M.I.T. here yesterday, 9-0, without losing a set the entire afternoon.

Terry Robinson, Crimson number four player, almost dropped his second set, but rallied to save the embarrassment, 6-1, 11-9. No other Harvard netman was extended.

Clive Kileff, filling in for injured Dave Benjamin in the top slot, had little trouble out-stroking M.I.T.'s Bill Petrick, 6-0, 6-1. In the number two match, Chum Steele stopped Paul Ruby, 6-4, 6-2, after momentary difficulties adjusting to Harvard's slow-surfaco courts. Captain Dean Peckham (three) blitzed Eric Coe, 6-0 6-1.

Dick Appleby (five) and Richie Fried man (six) won handily, 6-2, 6-2, and 6-0, 6-3.

Depth Displayed

The varsity displayed its depth below the starting six in the alternate matches Harvard's Todd Wilkinson, Brian Davis Mike Tarre, and Dan Kleinman yielded a total of nine games in eight sets.

The Crimson doubles combinations of Peckham - Steele, Davis - Appleby, and Friedman-Wilkinson romped to easy wins in alternate doubles matches. Al Terrell Dave Hodges and Dudley Blodgett-Dean Bauer teamed up to complete the Harvard sweep.

The freshman tennis team, one of Harvard's strongest in recent years, hosts M.I.T. today at 3 p.m.
