The Crimson golf team was beaten, 7-0, by a powerful Navy contingent at Annapolis on Saturday.
Everyone except John Hawkins, who played number seven, was soundly trounced. Hawkins, two down with two holes to play, rallied to take the last two, but lost the tie-breaking nineteenth hole and the match.
Peter Tague, playing number six, was all-even at the end of nine, but succumbed to his opponents three under par on the back nine.
Putt Campen, Crimson captain, summed up the day saying, "when your opponents have a number six man who can shoot three under par, things get kind of tough."
