The Rev. James J. Reeb, a Boston minister who was attacked by a white gang Tuesday in Selma, Alabama died last night of multiple skull fractures.
Four or five white men assaulted Reeb and two fellow Unitarian ministers as they left a Negro cafe after attending a civil rights rally. His companions were not seriously hurt.
Selma police recently arrested three men on charges of assaulting the three ministers with intent to kill.
