To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
I particularly regret the interruption of the demonstration held on the steps of Memorial Church Friday afternoon. I was not in the building at the time, and our sexton, not knowing that the rally had been authorized, acted in accordance with general instructions.
I feel that of all places in the Yard, the steps of Memorial Church are the right place for a rally in the interest of peace. At least two civil rights demonstrations assembled on its steps last year. We intend to be hospitable to rallies of this kind held under similar circumstances. Charles P.
