Phony Caller Halts Poster Pornography

Someone who falsely claimed he was senior advisor Seamus Malin called up at least three candidates for the Freshman Jubilee Committee and told them to remove their obscene campaign posters from the Union. Bruce Scott, secretary of the Union, announced yesterday.

Scott called an emergency meeting of the candidates last night to postpone the election until Thursday. He admitted that some of the posters were in very poor taste. Though he was planning to request that they be removed, he said he could not condone the anonymous action "Impersonating a University officer is a grievous sin," he told the candidates.

Caller Disturbed

The anonymous individual was particularly disturbed by a few filthy posters and took matters upon himself.

According to Scott, members of the freshman class, were also generally dissatisfied with the posters. The Jubilee campaign has never been particular high-toned, he said. He did not feel this was unusual, since the propaganda is aimed at an all-male audience.
