Vandals Damage Leverett Double

Vandals, apparently entering through an unlocked window, wrecked the furnishings of a double in Leverett House's McKinlock Hall Saturday night.

Two armchairs were ripped apart, pottery was smashed, a desk was overturned, and pieces of coke bottles were strewn on the floor.

The two residents of the suite, Daniel Amory '67 and W. James Morgan '68, reported yesterday that nothing had been stolen. They said that they had no idea who might have been responsible for the damage.

Morgan said that when he entered his room at 11:55 p.m. Saturday night the door was still locked, but the Plympton St. windows were wide open and a fire was burning in the fireplace. "It looked like someone had been enjoying himself," he said.
