Crimson Booters Lose To Brown

The Brown freshman soccer squad won its first game with Harvard in eight years yesterday when it scored two goals in the fourth period to down the Crimson 4-3.

Harvard rolled to an early lead as captain Scot Robertson scored early in the first quarter. Robertson again hit the net on an assist from Steve Wimberly a few minutes later to make the first period score 2-0. The lone goal of the second period was made by Brown's Larry Morin.

Harvard center forward Jaime Vargas, in jured in the first period, played at half speed during the remainder of the game.

The Harvard squad's lack of depth began to show in the third period. Dennis Colacicco tallied for Brown and the baby Bruins began to take control. Harvard scored in the third quarter with a boot by Wimberly, however, maintaining a lead of 3-2.

The Crimson fell apart in the last period. Rick Biehl booted in the equalizer in the first four minutes and two minutes later Morin of Brown fired the winning boot past Crimson goalie Jay Breese.
