Lucien Price '07 Dies Here at 81

The Grand Old Man of Boston journalism died last week.

Lucien Price '07, editorialist of the Boston Globe for 50 years, succumbed Monday at the age of 31 following a brief illness.

After graduation from the College, Price worked as reporter and critic for the Boston Transcript until he joined the Globe in 1914.

From then until his death he found time to publish more than a dozen books, both fiction and nonfiction, besides a steady stream of shorter pieces in addition to his regular Globe articles. A year ago he wrote for the CRIMSON a long first-hand account of the 1906 production of Agamemnon given in Greek at the Harvard Stadium.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Memorial Church. Gifts in his name may be sent to Massachusetts Hall.
