Golfers Squeeze By M.I.T. Squad

With captain Stan Abrams out of action, the Crimson golf squad turned in a mediocre performance yesterday, as they narrowly defeated M.I.T., 4-3, at the Myopia Hunt Club in South Hamilton.

John Olson led the team with his early victory; he was eight holes ahead on the eleventh. Kit Barrow, who has been competing with Olson for the number seven slot on the squad, was close behind, as he led by eight holes with another six to play. Jim Campen, number one on the team, lost another close one yesterday; he was one up in 18 holes.

The other Crimson victories were recorded by John Hawkins and Bob Seelert. Peter Tague and Wayne Thorn-brough each lost two down.

The golfers travel to New York on Friday, where they will vie with Colum-that defeated them last Saturday by a bin and Penn. Neither team is rated score of 5-2, but they may put up a good fight.

The Crimson record stands at 3-2, with seven contests remaining.
