Crimson Sailors Hurt By Fouls

When the Crimson sailing team stops committing fouls. It might start winning regattas.

The sailors finished ninth among 14 entrants in the Owen Trophy Regatta at the Coast Guard Academy Saturday and Sunday, and second behind M.I.T. in the Greater Boston Dinghy Championship yesterday. In both cases, disqualifications were decisive.

At New London, Wilson Halley, Peter Farrow, and Mark Patek, co-skippering in the "B" division, fouled out in four of the seven races. Tim Prince, sailing in the "A" division didn't fare well either, finishing fifth.

In the Boston Championship on the Charles, the Crimson finished only 33 points behind Tech. Happily, Prince skippered very well this time, out-sailing his nemesis Terry Cronburg of M.I.T. in the "A" division.
