Newton Auto Collision Injures Two Seniors

Two Harvard students were injured early yesterday morning in a head-on automobile collision in Newton.

Whitney S. Lloyd '64, of Eliot House and Katonia, N.Y., was reported last night in serious condition at Wellesley-Newton Hospital. The driver, William A. Nitze '64, of Eliot House and Washington, D.C., was in good condition.

The accident occurred at 1:45 a.m. as the two were returning from dates at Wellesley. According to Nitze, the driver of the other car, Miss Terrie Holden of Newton, was moving in the opposite direction and unexpectedly made a left turn into the path of Nitze's car. Both vehicles were demolished.

Lloyd suffered a fractured skull and facial lacerations but is expected to recover without permanent injury, according to a doctor in the University Health Services.

The collision occurred at the same place where Robert Koh of Allentown, Pa., a second year student at the Business School, was fatally injured on March 12.
