After two periods of slow skating and sloppy defense, Harvard's hockey varsity regained the stylish form which it had displayed sporadically early in the season and rolled up a 6-2 victory at Princeton Saturday night.

Ike Ikauniks scored the first hat trick of his Harvard career, lifting the Crimson from a 2-1 second-period deficit to a 4-2 advantage.

Goalie Brandy Sweitzer needed all the best of his early-season form to hold Princeton to only two goals in the first two periods, stopping no less than four Tiger breakaways.

Although the win evens Harvard's league record at 3-3 and keeps alive its hopes of at least sharing the Ivy crown, the news from Princeton is not all good. High-scoring center Billy Lamarche reinjured his fragile knee when he was run into by Tiger defenseman Buzz Hall, and may miss tomorrow night's Clarkson game.

Cook Opens Scoring

Princeton's Steve Cook opened the scoring at 10:46 of the first period, but Gene Kinasewich tied it up only ten seconds later. After Cook gave the Tigers their second goal at 11:41 of the middle period, the game was all Harvard's. Ikauniks scored the tying goal less than two minutes later on a centering pass which the Princeton goalie failed to clear.

Ike also picked up Harvard's next two tallies, early in the final period. Gordie Price, filling in for Lamarche on the line with Barry Treadwell and Baldy Smith, followed with his first goal of the season. Bill Fryer closed out the scoring, as Kinasewich picked up his third assist of the night.
