CITY HOSPITAL BUILDING WILL BE NAMED FOR JFK

The Cambridge City Council voted yesterday to name the main building of the proposed $6 million City Hospital after President John F. Kennedy. Meeting for the first time since Kennedy's assassination, the Council passed the proposal unanimously.

It will be several years, however, before the "John F. Kennedy Memorial Building" becomes a reality. The Council approved construction of a new hospital last August, but plans have not progressed beyond the blueprint stage.
