Preliminary figures for last night's Combined Charities collections brought the two-day total to more than $15,500. At 1 a.m. today, solicitors had reported $7000 in donations, compared with $8900 contributed Monday night.
Monday's totals had set a record for the annual drive, when collections in Winthrop, Dunster, and Lowell Houses passed a total of $1100 each.
Drive chairman David A. Murdoch '64 said he was "very much pleased" with the campaign so far, but added that "The drive is far from complete. "There are a lot of Harvard men who have not yet been reached."
