Ivy Films tried to shock a College audience last night.

Ranging from the comic through the bizarre to the deadly serious, "An Evening of Grisly Films" included:

* "Easter Island," by John Ferno: Documentary in form, the film shifted back and forth from panoramic vistas of the island's famous statues to detailed close-ups of the missing eyes, ears, noses and hands of inmates in a leprosarium.

* "Fireworks," by Kenneth Anger: A Cinema 16 production, its symbolistic presentation of homosexual sado-maso-chism included a number of episodes which startled moviegoers. As one 'Cliffe was heard to remark to hear date after the Christmas-tree sequence, "I may never feel quite comfortable with one of those things in my home again."

* "Night and Fog", by Alain Resnais: It featured color shots of buoelic, postwar concentration camp ruins to pictures of the camps in operation.
