CORNELL will rule sometime in the coming year that all students must live in approved housing. Although enough apartments have been inspected to house the 4600 men and women who live off-campus every year, the final decision will await faculty and student opinion, it was reported. Cornell announced its plan to establish minimum standards for student housing two years ago and has approved over 1300 properties since.
A CORNELL faculty committee decided not to effect a four-day reading period prior to exams next year because it felt it unwise to change the calendar for only one year. Such a change might be instituted for the academic year 1963-64 if the faculty approves a plan being studied by a special committee. --from the Cornell Daily Sun
