Swoboda has been appointed as conductor of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra. Swoboda is known for his recordings with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and has also performed the Berlin Philharmonic and the Philharmonic Orchestra of London. will assume leadership of the orchestra along with a position on the as Lecturer in Music next September. The present conductor, Michael instructor in Music, will give his final appearance in Cambridge with the orchestra on April 28, and will conduct the orchestra of the University California (Berkeley) next year.
