After a long haggle with the Reunion Committee over amusement privileges, the band has decided to play at Commencement exercises in June.

"We both wanted each other anyway, and now the details are all ironed out," commented Edward A. Alpers '63, manager of the band. He declined to say, however, what the "details" were.

Samuel L. Lowe, Jr. '37, Chief of Services of the Reunion Committee, also dismissed the specifics of the agreement as "not newsworthy." But informed sources have indicated that under the new arrangement the band will received from the Committee some $200, which it plans to use for a private party.

In recent years members of the band have been excluded from the stag lines of dances held during Commencement Week because they couldn't put in consistent appearances at the dance. Members of other undergraduate organizations who were at school during the week were permitted to attend, but only if they would attend every night.

For about 15 years, most of the band's functions from the Sunday of reunion through the Thursday of Commencement have been primarily for the twenty-fifth reunion class. Sunday night the band will play in Harkness Commons, Wednesday jointly with the Glee Club for Class Day and a baseball game, and Thursday for the exercises themselves.
