In preliminary competition for prizes in public speaking conducted Wednesday, the following students were selected from a field of 20: Joseph E. Clements '63, Virgil T. Fryman '62, Allan P. Gibb '64, Harry F. Greene '63, David G. Gullette '62, and Gregg D. Wood '62.
These finalists will appear in a public competition April 12. The awards of $100 and $50 are the first ever offered by the University for original speeches.
