Harvard's hockey team goes after another Ivy League victory tonight as it travels to meet Brown in the Bears' brand-new Meechan hockey rink.

"Cooney" Weiland's Crimson sextet, now 5 and 1 in the League, needs three victories in its last four games to clinch its second straight Ivy title, its seventh in the last nine years. A sweep of its remaining contests would give the team a total of 20 wins overall--a mark second only to the total of 21 gained by the 1956-57 team.

Brown could prove a surprise for the Crimson skaters, who were not quite up to snuff in their last appearance. The Crimson has had trouble on the road against Ivy opponents this year; its only conference loss was at Cornell, 2 to 1, and it had a close call at Princeton last week, 2 to 1,

The Bears, coached by Jim Fullerton, have improved steadily since inauguration of their new rink in December; but until this year's freshmen mature, Brown remains less than a first-rate Ivy power. Since the middle of the season, Fullerton has lost his leading scorers--Fred Avis, who was injured a month ago, and Bruce McIntyre, who became ill last week.

After a fair start, Brown lost its last four straight Ivy games and is now in fourth place (3-5).

Coach Nat Harris' Crimson freshmen seek to improve their 5-6-2 record this afternoon with a game at Brown. The Bear Cubs, who trounced the Yardlings 11 to 1 two weeks ago, are a fast, high scoring outfit and one of the most highly regarded freshman clubs in the Northeast.
