Medical School Gets Grant From U.S. Steel

United States Steel has presented the Harvard Medical School with an unrecognized gift of $100,000, George P. Berry, of the Faculty of Medicine, Saturday.

The grant was given to support teacher and research programs at the Medical School and its associated teaching . Because of the unrestricted nature gift, the Faculty of Medicine may the funds in whichever area it they will do the most good.

from grants for construction, Steel's gift is one of the largest ever made by a corporate foundation to an individual medical school. In the gift. Berry thanked the for its "perceptive understanding that, as a medical resource serving , Harvard must secure national ."
