The varsity squash team will take on a top-flight Williams squad tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. in the Hemenway courts. Williams took four individual matches from Princeton in the Eph-Tiger meeting last Saturday, and the narrow margin of Princeton's victory is a good indication of Williams' overall ability.
The Williams squash match is sort of like the Brown game in football. Coming just before Yale and a week after Princeton, Williams is in an ideal position to catch Harvard looking ahead to the next match and could easily dump the Crimson for its first loss of the year. Either way, the match should feature close play and individual wins by both teams.
Relies on Depth
Williams resembles the Crimson in that both teams rely on depth rather than a few individual stars. The Ephs' top man is John Leonard, who will be playing the top-ranked Crimson player, Pete Smith.
Crimson coach Jack Barnaby will use the traditional lineup, except that Clark Grew has sprained his ankle and will be unable to play. Doug Poole will fill the number eight spot, and Jay Nelson the number nine.
The Crimson's next match will be Saturday against Yale, at home. The Yale match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
