RADCLIFFE TRADES GIRLS WITH 5 OTHER COLLEGES

Radcliffe College will participate in an expanded exchange program with five other colleges next week, made possible by a grant of up to $350 for traveling expenses from the President's Fund.

In the past, the exchange has been limited to nearby colleges because Radcliffe students visiting other schools had to pay their own transportation costs. Under the new system, each girl will pay up to $20 from her own pocket, the balance coming from the President's Fund.

As a result, Radcliffe will send two students to spend a week at Duke University in North Carolina, as well as two each to Howard University in Washington. D.C., the University of Pennsylvania, Bryn , and Sarah Lawrence.

In return, ten students--two from each of the five colleges--arrived Sunday and will stay through this Friday, living In Radcliffe dormitories and attending classes.
