Seven Crimson hockey players were named to the first and second Beanpot all-tournament teams yesterday.
Defenseman Harry Howell, who missed the B.C. game because of an appendicitis attack, and teammate Ted Ingalls, a wing, made the first team. Those from the Crimson squad selected for the second team were goalie Bob Bland; defensemen (three were chosen because of a tie in voting) Dave Johnston, Dave Grannis, and Bob Anderson: and center Jim Dwinell.
In their only unanimous decision, the sportswriters and coaches picked B.C.'s Red Martin to be the first team's defense-man with Howell. The Eagle ace was also selected most valuable player in the tournament.
With Howell, Martin, and Ingalls on the first team were: Jim Logue, B.C., goalie; Art Chisholm, Northeastern, center; and Bill Hogan, B.C., wing.
With the four Crimson players on the second team were: Bill Daley, B.C., center; Bill Quinn, B.U., wing; Ed Sullivan, B.C., wing, and Mike Denihan, B.U., center.
