An evening with William F. Buckley, Jr., editor of the National Review, is on the Law School Forum's billing for the end of April, according to Michael J. Goldey 3L, president of the Forum. Buckley will reply to the question, "Is there a danger posed by the political right wing?"
Sen. Jacob K. Javits (R-N.Y.) had been scheduled to appear with Buckley, but cancelled the engagement last night. Alan Barth of the Washington Post, author of a recent book on civil liberties, has been invited to speak in Javits' place.
For mid-February the Forum is planning a discussion of some aspect of the arts. Gore Vidal, John Ciardi, and Yul Brynner are being considered as speakers.
Jimmy Hoffa has a standing invitation to appear at the Forum, Goldey added. Hoffa has said recently that he "would like to come," although he has twice broken past engagements to speak here and cancelled a speech at the Ford Hall Forum in December.
Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy '48 was asked to come to the Law School Forum in March, but he is not available at that time. "We may try to get him for another date," said Goldey.
