The Summer School's 1960 music program will feature Ruth Posselt, violinist, and Luise Vosgerchien, pianist, in a program of four sonatas Monday evening in Sanders Theatre. The 8:30 p.m. recital, which is free and open to the public, will include Faure's Deuxieme Sonata, Bartok's Sonata No. 2, Hindemith's Sonata in D, and Ives' Second Sonata.
The LaSalle String Quartet and the Dancemakers, a modern dance company starring Martha Baird and Gus Solomans, performed earlier this week in the first two events.
In their performance last night the Dancemakers both interpreted ordinary events and explored pure abstract movement. Music by Bach, Vivaldi, and Milhaud, plus contemporary poetry, accompanied the group.
