Lockett Matches Attract Expert Squash Men

Some of the nation's best squash players will participate in the Lockett Cup matches that will be held tomorrow afternoon and all day Sunday at Hemenway Gymnasium.

The Massachusetts Squash Racquets association which received permission from the University to use the newly-reconditioned Hemenway Courts, is the tournament. According to Barnaby, Crimson squash coach, the two-day matches will be the "best exhibition in the Boston area all year."

The Lockett Cup matches is an contest among Boston, New York, Philadelphia. Although he does not have definite confirmations as yet, Barnaby said that such Harvard greats as Charles Ufford '53, former National Colagiate Champion, are expected to compete.

The matches, which will be held in the new Palmer Dixon '50 Squash Courts, will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday. "It is a privilege to have such a tournament here," Barnaby commented. "There will be some really top notch players--it would be a shame to miss seeing them."
