Unopposed candidates will fill a majority of the vacant seats on the Student Council, Thomas B. Merrit '61, Chairman of the Elections Board, announced yesterday. Contests have developed for only one of the 18 positions open.
And because no one from the Class of 362 in Lowell House filed a petition, Merrit revealed one seat on the Council would remain vacant for the next term.
The following students were declared selected without opposition: Richard H. John '62, Adams; Seamus P. Malin '62, Also unopposed were Charles M. War- Elections for those seats, which are untested, will be held on Nov. 8-9. The
