Quarterback Charlie Ravenel, the main reason the varsity football team is favored to win the Ivy League title, will probably be out of action for a month as a result of a knee injury sustained in the UMass game. The four weeks is a doctor's estimate; Ravenel hopes to cut it in half.

The injury occurred after approximately 3:45 had elapsed in the second quarter, Ravenel, leading the interference on a running play, had his right leg extended. The little quarterback's left side was hemmed in when someone hit him from the right, severely twisting the leg. The damage was diagnosed as a badly sprained right knee.

Ravenel is scheduled to be released from Stillman Infirmary today with his leg in a cast. Terry Bartolet, a 5 ft., 11 in., 175-lb. sophomore from Easton, Pa., is expected to take his place in the starting lineup.
