The undefeated varsity squash team rolled to its ninth straight victory Saturday, defeating a stubborn Dartmouth squad, 8 to 1, at Hanover. On Friday, the team beat Penn, 9 to 0, at Hemenway.
Captain Gerry Emmet led the varsity against Dartmouth with a three-game sweep over Bill Herrick at number one position. Fred Vinton at number three, Jorge Lemann at number four, Doug Poule at number seven, Denny Briggs at number eight, and Ed Vaughan at number nine also won without dropping a game, though Lemann was down 9-13 each time before pulling his three games out.
Crimson second man Tim Gallwey won a tough five-game match, rallying after dropping the third and fourth games. Pete Smith, at number six, won in four games. Number five man Tony Lake was the only man to lose, bowing in five games after winning the first two.
