The varsity lacrosse team dropped its last game of the season 9 to 4 to Yale Saturday, but outscored the Elis after the first 10 minutes of the first period. During those 10 minutes, though, Yale look advantage of a lethagric Crimson defense and scored six quick goals.

Scoring all four goals for the Crimson was attackman Dave Bohn, who finished the season with 35 tallies. Nick Lamont made every assist to give him 22 for the season.

For two days before the game, freshman coach Jim Lentz had drilled the defense in blocking, and for the last three periods the Crimson hit harder than at any time this season.

Also hampering the Yale attack was Bump Howe's brilliant goal-tending. Using his lacrosse stick like a combination baseball bat-broom, Howe not only stopped Eli shots but often swept the ball far upfield. He turned in 26 saves in the game.

At the end of the first period, the Crimson trailed 6 to 1, its lone goal coming on a deliberate pass series that was climaxed by Dave Bohn's successful bounce shot. The score at the half was 1 to 1, and at the end of the third period the varsity trailed, 8 to 3.

The freshman lacrosse team kept Crimson hopes high for next season, however, and defeated the Yale freshmen 14 to 6 here Saturday. Attackman Woody Spruace led the team to its eighth victory with six goals.
