'Cliffe Helps Plan Show for Radio

Radcliffe will join six other women's colleges in sponsoring a nation-wide CBS radio program about women's education, on April 30.

The program, which is described as a "dramatic presentation of the problems and benefits of a female education," will be narrated by Edward R. Murrow, CBS commentator and news analyst. Archibald MacLeish, Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory, will close the show with his views on the topic.

Irving Gitlin, director of CBS public affairs, has agreed to donate the time from 9:05 to 10 p.m. as a "public service." Production of the show will be handled by CBS, with the cooperation of MacLeish and representatives from the colleges.

The Seven College Conference, composed of Radcliffe, Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Mt. Holyoke, Smith, Wellesley, and Vassar, began planning the radio documentary last fall.
