Leverett Grades Reach New High

Unofficial fall term "rank-listings" indicate that Leverett House may end the year with the top House academic record, after a five-year rise from a position at the bottom of the House grades standings.

While pointing out that the mid-year figures are only "highly suggestive presumptive evidence," Richard T. Gill, Senior Tutor of Leverett House, stated that "no House will be substantially better, unless there is a radical change in pattern this spring."

Despite a sharp rise in the number of required withdrawals in the College's upperclass group last term, there were "virtually no academic failures" in Leverett House. The number of House students with unsatisfactory standings was eight per cent, a low figure for "any House at any time," Gill added.
