The impact of the Loeb Drama Center on undergraduate dramatics will be the topic of a Student Council Forum panel discussion featuring Archibald MacLeish, Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory, next Tuesday. MacLeish is a member of the Faculty Theatre Committee, a study group considering ways to utilize the new Center.
Other members of the panel will be Steven Aaron '57, who directed the Harvard Dramatic Club productions of Hamlet and Death of a Salesman, Joel F. Henning '61, president of the HDC, and Jan A. Hartman '61 of the Student Council.
Henning said yesterday that he expected discussion to center on "the role that student organizations will play in the new Center." One of the problems to consider, he explained, will be the co-ordination of the activities of various Harvard dramatic organizations using the Loeb Theatres.
After the panel discussion, Hugh Stubbins, architect for the Center, will describe the new theatre's technical equipment, such as the revolving stage and advanced lighting design.
The Forum will be held in the Adams House Common Room, Tuesday, at 8 p.m.
