Strong Freshman Six Routs B.C. Team, 7-2

Sparked by lineman Jim Dwinell's two first period goals, the Freshman hockey team trounced Boston College 7 to 2 at the new McHugh Forum Saturday night. The contest was the Yardlings' first of the 1958-59 season.

The Yardlings jumped away to a 4-2 lead in the first period and from then on toyed with the Eagle squad, called by their coach, "the best freshman team Boston College has had in years."

Dwinell poked in the first two goals of the game within a few minutes of each other. John Hutchinson netted the third tally, assisted by Tom Heintzman, and Tony Nicholas scored to round out the period. Nicholas's goal was assisted by Heintzman and Al Alpine.
