NEW YORK--Crafty Warren Spahn tossed a two-hitter and left the New York Yankees cliff-hanging by their fingernails Sunday, with his Milwaukee Braves needing only one more victory to clinch their second straight World Series.
Red Schoendienst set up the Braves' first score in the sixth with a booming triple to center and scored when Johnny Logan's grounder went through Tony Kubek's legs for an error.
