'News' Goes to Vote

The fate of the Radcliffe News depends on a referendum to be held tonight by SGA. Results of the vote will be published in Thursday's News.

If the vote favors continuing the News, SGA will have to pay $325 this year to support the paper. The referendum sheet will include a list of pros and cons concerning the News to help students make their choice.

"We cannot raise enough money ourselves to pay for the News," Vyola G. Papps '59, editor, explained. "The paper will go out of business without SGA support."

Only 400 subscriptions to the News have been sold this year. Compulsory subscriptions for all students enrolled at the College were abolished last spring by a student body vote.
