A Radcliffe graduate student, Miss Brooke Aronson, of New York, was assaulted last evening as she entered her dormitory. A few minutes afterward, police arrested a six-foot man whom she identified as her assailant.
He was Douglas V. Madore, 26, the father of two, whom the police identified as a parolee from the Concord Reformatory. He was charged with indecent assault and battery, and with unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon, a hunting knife.
Police noted that two other Radcliffe girls have been molested during the past month, and that ten Cambridge women have also been assaulted recently. They did not say whether Madore was under suspicion for the other assaults.
