Radcliffe PBK Starts Contests for Poetry, Prose Fiction, Music

The Radcliffe Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa has announced contests in fiction, poetry, and music open to Radcliffe undergraduates. The judges will award one prize of $25 for the best work in each category. The contests close March 1.

Fiction entries must be typewritten, double-spaced, in English, and of reasonable length. Phi Beta Kappa will attempt to find publication for the winning story.

Students entering the poetry contest have a free choice of subject and form. The poem must be written in English and at least 25 lines long. A group of shorter poems will be acceptable.

Music compositions, either vocal or instrumental, must be original throughout. They must be less than four minutes in length.

The division of the contest and the pen name must appear on each entry. All entries are due by March 1 at the office of Dean Kerby-Miller. Her office will furnish further information.
