Fresh from its 24 to 5 opening win over a hapless Dartmouth team, the varsity wrestlers will open their home season with an equally inept M.I.T. squad on the I.A.B. mats at 7:30 p.m.

Last year, the varsity swamped the Engineers, 22 to 8. Moreover, Harris Hyman, practically the only Tech wrestler with real ability, has graduated, leaving the Engineers with virtually nothing to offer in the way of competition.

Coach Bob Pickett plans to send a team of six sophomores and two juniors to the mats, in an effort to give the newcomers varsity experience for the tough schedule ahead after exam period.

Only Dave Skeels and heavyweight Ted Robbins will wrestle in their regular weight classes.

Skeels gained the only fall against Dartmouth, and will move down from 130 to the 123-pound class, his normal position. Sophomore Bob Kozol, the regular 123-pound man on last year's freshman team, will move up to the 130-pound class. John Watkins, who scored a decision win at Dartmouth, will again wrestle at 137, although he is normally a 130-pounder.

Orrin Hein, another decision winner in the opener, will be at 147, while Joe Noble, along with Skeels, the only juniors in the lineup, will wrestle at 157.

Steve Weddle, who lost a decision to Indian Fred Pitzner in the opener, will wrestle at 167. Serge McKhann will wrestle at 177, with Robbins at heavy-weight.
