Ten checks written last May by the treasurer of last year's Combined Charities Drive have not yet been mailed to the charities, the Student Council learned last night from Gregory B. Stone '58, chairman of last year's drive. Council president Larry R. Johnson '58 said he would mail these checks immediately.
The checks were not mailed, Stone said, because the treasurer could not find the addresses of some of the charities who were to receive them. Among these unmailed checks are ones to the March of Dimes and the U. S. Olympic Fund. The Council also discovered that a check dated in March to be deposited to the Combined Charities had not yet been taken to the bank.
The Council also noted that many of the stubs of checks that were mailed out had not been filled in. Stone replied that although this was true, he had a complete list of where the checks were sent.
Council members also elected Marc E. Leland '59 as its new treasurer.
