Ski conditions around New England were reported as generally excellent as the Harvard community entered on its first weekend of the reading period.
Of the New Hampshire resorts, Franconia's Cannon Mt. was classified as fair to good on the upper trails and excellent on the slope. Intervale, Laconia's Belknap Mts., Mt. Sunapee, and North Conway's Mt. Cranmore were all termed excellent.
In Vermont, Stowe's Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak rate from good to excellent. The novice area on Wilmington's Mt. Snow is called "perfect for skiing."
