In addition to the Cambridge Drama Festival productions in Sanders Theatre, numerous other dramatic offerings will take place during the summer at nearby spots.
The Group 20 Players at Wellesley's Theatre-on-the-Green have already begun their season, which will run into September and will feature such worth-while plays at Goethe's "Faust," Shakespere's "The Tempest," and revised version of Arthur Miller's "A View From the Bridge."
On a less pretentious level are the productions to be given by the Tufts Arena Theatre in Medford. The actors there will present some rather off-the-beaten-track shows, including W.O. Somin's "Assassination," a political murder; Anatole France's "The Man Who Married a Dumb Wife;" and the New England premiere of Alejandro Casona's "The Jaracanda Tree."
In Boston's New England Mutual Hall, changing casts will offer one-week stands of varying fare, such as "The Chalk Garden" with Lillian and Dorothy Gish.
